Title: Reflection on Jane Eyre - Part One

After reading the English version of Jane Eyre, I was deeply moved by the powerful storytelling and the profound themes explored in the novel. Written by Charlotte Bront?, this literary masterpiece is a timeless work that explores themes of love, independence, and social class.

Jane Eyre, the protagonist, is a strong and independent woman who defies societal norms and fights for her own happiness. From a young age, Jane faces adversity and struggles to find her place in the world. Despite the challenges she faces, Jane remains resilient and determined, never compromising her values or beliefs. Her unwavering self-respect and determination to assert her independence make her an inspiring character.

One of the central themes in Jane Eyre is the exploration of love and its complexities. Jane experiences various forms of love throughout the novel, from her childhood infatuation with Mr. Rochester to her deep friendship with Helen Burns. However, it is her love for Rochester that truly captivates the reader. Their love is unconventional and defies societal expectations, as Rochester is already married. Bront? skillfully portrays the complexities of their relationship, highlighting the struggle between passion and morality.

Furthermore, Jane Eyre delves into the theme of social class and its impact on individuals. Jane, being a governess, is subjected to the prejudices and discrimination of the upper class. Despite her lower social status, Jane refuses to be defined by it and strives to be treated as an equal. This theme resonates with readers even today, as it highlights the importance of equality and the fight against societal constraints.

Overall, Jane Eyre is a captivating novel that explores timeless themes and showcases the strength of the human spirit. Bront?'s masterful storytelling and complex characters make this novel a must-read for anyone seeking a thought-provoking and inspiring literary work.

Title: Reflection on Jane Eyre - Part Two

Jane Eyre, in its English version, is a thought-provoking and emotionally charged novel that left a deep impact on me. Charlotte Bront?'s masterful storytelling and exploration of complex themes make it a literary masterpiece that stands the test of time.

One of the aspects that struck me the most while reading Jane Eyre was the character development. Jane's transformation from a young, orphaned girl into a strong and independent woman is inspiring. Her journey of self-discovery and her determination to assert her independence resonated with me on a personal level. Bront?'s portrayal of Jane's growth is realistic and relatable, making her a character that readers can connect with and root for.

Another aspect that I found fascinating was the exploration of morality and the choices individuals make. Jane is faced with numerous moral dilemmas throughout the novel, particularly in her relationship with Mr. Rochester. Their love is deemed immoral by society, yet Jane's unwavering loyalty and compassion towards Rochester challenge conventional notions of right and wrong. This exploration of morality adds depth to the novel and invites readers to question their own moral compass.

Additionally, the vivid descriptions and atmospheric settings in Jane Eyre transport readers to the world Bront? created. The gloomy and mysterious Thornfield Hall, the desolate Lowood School, and the picturesque countryside all contribute to the rich tapestry of the story. Bront?'s ability to paint such vivid imagery with her words enhances the reading experience and immerses readers in Jane's world.

In conclusion, Jane Eyre is a profound and captivating novel that explores themes of love, independence, and morality. Bront?'s skillful storytelling, complex characters, and vivid descriptions make it a literary masterpiece that continues to resonate with readers today. Jane's journey of self-discovery and her unwavering determination to assert her independence make her a character that readers can admire and draw inspiration from. Jane Eyre is truly a timeless classic that should be read by all lovers of literature.

简爱英文版的读后感 篇三

简爱英文版的读后感

Oliver Twist, one of the most famous works of Charles Dickens’, is a novel reflecting the tragic fact of the life in Britain in 18th century. The author who himself was born in a poor family wrote this novel in his twenties with a view to reveal the ugly masks of those cruel criminals and to expose the horror and violence hidden underneath the narrow and dirty streets in London. The hero of this novel was Oliver Twist, an orphan, who was thrown into a world full of poverty and crime. He suffered enormous pain, such as hunger, thirst, beating and abuse. While reading the tragic experiences of the little Oliver, I was shocked by his sufferings. I felt for the poor boy, but at the same time I detested the evil Fagin and the brutal Bill. To my relief, as was written in all the best stories, the goodneeventually conquered devil and Oliver lived a happy life in the end. One of the plots that attracted me most is that after the theft, little Oliver was allowed to recover in the kind care of Mrs. Maylie and Rose and began a new life. He went for walks with them, or Rose read to him, and he worked hard at his lessons. He felt as if he had left behind forever the world of crime and hardship and poverty. How can such a little boy who had already suffered oppressive affliction remain pure in body and mind? The reason is the nature of goodness. I think it is the most importa

nt information implied in the novel by Dickens-he believed that goodnecould conquer every difficulty. Although I don’t think goodneis omnipotent, yet I do believe that those who are kind-hearted live more happily than those who are evil-minded. For me, the nature of goodneis one of the most necessary character for a person. Goodneis to humans what water is to fish. He who is without goodneis an utterly worthleperson. On the contrary, as the famous saying goes, ‘The fragrance always stays in the hand that gives the rose’, he who is with goodneundoubtedly is a happy and useful person. People receiving his help are grateful to him and he also gets gratified from what he has done, and thus he can do good to both the people he has helped and himself. To my disappointment, nowadays some people seem to doubt the existence of the goodnein humanity. They look down on people’s honesty and kindness, thinking it foolish of people to be warm-hearted. As a result, they show no sympathy to those who are in trouble and seldom offer to help others. On the other hand, they attach importance to money and benefit. In their opinion, money is the only real object while emotions and morality are nihility. If they cannot get profit from showing their ‘kindness’, they draw back when others are faced with trouble and even hit a man when he is down. They are one of the sorts that I really detest. Francis Bacon said in his essay, ‘Goodness, of all virtues and dignities of the mind, is the greatest, being the character of the Deity, and without it, man is a busy, mischievous, wretched thing, no better than a kind of vermin.’ That is to say a person without goodneis destined to lose everything. Therefore, I, a kind person, want to tell those ‘vermin-to-be’ to learn from the kind Oliver and regain the nature of goodness.
