英语春节手抄报内容 篇一

The Spring Festival, also known as Chinese New Year, is the most important traditional festival in China. It is a time for family reunions, feasting, and celebration. The festival marks the beginning of the lunar calendar and lasts for 15 days, with each day having its own significance and customs.

One of the most important customs during the Spring Festival is the reunion dinner. Families gather together on New Year's Eve to enjoy a lavish meal and celebrate the coming year. The dinner usually consists of traditional dishes such as dumplings, fish, and glutinous rice cakes, which symbolize wealth, prosperity, and good luck.

Another popular tradition during the Spring Festival is the exchange of red envelopes. Red envelopes, also known as "hongbao," are small packets filled with money that are given to children and unmarried adults as a symbol of good fortune. It is believed that the money inside the red envelope will bring luck and prosperity in the coming year.

Fireworks and firecrackers are also an integral part of the Spring Festival celebrations. The loud noise and bright lights are believed to scare away evil spirits and bring good luck and happiness. However, in recent years, many cities in China have banned or restricted the use of fireworks due to safety concerns and environmental issues.

Lantern festivals are another highlight of the Spring Festival. These festivals feature beautifully decorated lanterns in various shapes and sizes. People gather to admire the lanterns, solve riddles written on them, and enjoy cultural performances such as dragon dances and traditional music.

In addition to these customs, there are many other traditions and activities that take place during the Spring Festival, such as lion and dragon dances, temple fairs, and visiting relatives and friends. Each region in China has its own unique customs and traditions that add to the festive atmosphere.

Overall, the Spring Festival is a time of joy, reunion, and celebration. It is a time when people come together to express their gratitude, pay respect to their ancestors, and welcome the arrival of a new year. The festival not only reflects the rich cultural heritage of China but also promotes unity and harmony among its people.

英语春节手抄报内容 篇二

The Spring Festival, or Chinese New Year, is not only celebrated in China but also by Chinese communities around the world. It is a time for family, friends, and communities to come together and celebrate the beginning of a new year.

One of the main traditions during the Spring Festival is cleaning and decorating the house. It is believed that cleaning the house before the New Year will sweep away any bad luck from the previous year and make way for good luck in the coming year. Red decorations such as lanterns, couplets, and paper cuttings are also used to bring good luck and fortune.

Another important tradition is the lion and dragon dances. These traditional performances are believed to bring good luck and drive away evil spirits. The lion and dragon dances are accompanied by loud drums, cymbals, and firecrackers, creating a lively and festive atmosphere.

Food plays a significant role during the Spring Festival. Dumplings, also known as jiaozi, are a must-have dish during the festival. They symbolize wealth and prosperity, as their shape resembles ancient Chinese gold and silver ingots. Other traditional dishes such as fish, spring rolls, and sticky rice cakes are also enjoyed during the celebrations.

The exchange of red envelopes, or hongbao, is another important tradition. Red envelopes are given to children and unmarried adults as a symbol of good luck and blessings for the new year. The amount of money inside the red envelope varies, but it is usually an even number, as odd numbers are considered unlucky.

Fireworks and firecrackers are a common sight during the Spring Festival. The loud noise and bright lights are believed to scare away evil spirits and bring good luck and happiness. However, in recent years, there has been a growing concern about the environmental impact and safety hazards associated with fireworks, leading to restrictions in many cities.

Visiting relatives and friends is also an important part of the Spring Festival. It is a time to reconnect with loved ones, exchange blessings, and strengthen relationships. Many people travel long distances to be with their families during this time, making it one of the busiest travel seasons in China.

Overall, the Spring Festival is a time of joy, unity, and renewal. It is a time to reflect on the past year, express gratitude, and set new goals for the coming year. The festival not only celebrates Chinese culture and traditions but also promotes love, harmony, and happiness among families and communities.

I like the Spring Festival very much. How wonderful the Spring Festival is!

  我非常喜欢春节。春节是多么的美妙啊!

  春节的来历

Chinese festivals are rich and colorful, there are Qingming Festival, Mid Autumn Festival and so on. In this, I like the Spring Festival most, do you know the origin of the Spring Festival?

Let me tell you about the origin of the Spring Festival.

Long long ago, there is an animal called the "year", every the 30th day of the twelfth month of the Chinese lunar calendar, it will e out of the deadly, terrible. One year, a white - haired grandfather came to the village, and he said, "I can drive away that holy thing." But the villagers did not believe what he said. On this day, as usual, the villagers ran into the mountains to hide the "year" beasts, and the old man insisted on staying. The old man put firecrackers in the backyard in the night, "year" beast to the general turmoil was terrible! When the grandfather of the house all the candles lit, "year" was stopped, and then, grandpa took out firecrackers "Pa, PA, Pa", "year" fright, Grandpa laughed in red, "" that is a fire in the laugh, scared Tirzah legs ran, the old grandpa is a fairy, he left the magic three "years" to the villagers. From then on, we will put up red couplets, firecrackers and dumplings every time in the new year.

If you ask me why I like the Spring Festival, I will tell you, because the Spring Festival is very busy, there are a lot of lanterns, it is good for the new year.

  春节习俗

The Spring Festival is a traditional Chinese festival and also the most important one of the whole year. Through the evolvement of thousands of years, a series of customs are spreading far and wide.

  Sweeping the Dust扫尘

“Dust” is homophonic with "chen”in Chinese, which means old and past. In this way, "sweeping the dust” before the Spring Festival means a thorough cleaning of houses to sweep away bad luck in the past year. This custom shows a good wish of putting away old things to welcome a new life. In a word, just before the Spring Festival comes, every household will give a thorough cleaning to bid farewell to the old year and usher in the new.

  Pasting Spring Couplets贴春联

“The Spring Couplet”, also called "couplet” and "a pair of antithetical phrases”, is a special form of literature in China. The Spring Couplet is composed of two antithetical sentences on both sides of the door and a horizontal scroll bearing an inscription, usually an auspicious phrase, above the gate. The sentence pasting on the right side of the door is called the first line of the couplet and the one on the left the second line. On the eve of the Spring Festival, every household will paste on doors a spring couplet written on red paper to give a happy and prosperous atmosphere of the Festival. In the past, the Chinese usually wrote their own spring couplet with a brush or asked others to do for them, while nowadays, it is common for people to buy the printed spring couplet in the market.

  Pasting Paper-cuts and "Up-sided Fu”贴窗花和“福”字

Paper-cuts, usually with auspicious patterns, give a happy and prosperous atmosphere of the Festival and express the good wishes of Chinese people looking forward to a good life. In addition to pasting paper-cuts on windows, it is common for Chinese to paste the character "fu”, big and small, on walls, doors and doorposts around the houses. "Fu” shows people’s yearning toward a good life. Some people even invert the character "fu” to signify that blessing has arrived because "inverted” is a homonym for "arrive” in Chinese. Now many kinds of paper-cuts and "fu” can be seen in the market before the Festival.

Staying Up Late on New Year‘s Eve守岁

The tradition of staying up late to see New Year in originatedfroman interesting folk tale. In ancient China there lived a monster named Year, who was very ferocious. Year always went outfromits burrow on New Year’s Eve to devour people. Therefore, on every New Year’s Eve, every household would have supper together. After dinner, no one dared go to sleep and all the family members would sit together, chatting and emboldening each other. Gradually the habit of staying up late on New Year’s Eve is formed. Thus in China, "celebrating the Spring Festival” is also called "passing over the year (guo nian)”。 However, now there are less and less people in cities who will stay up late to see New Year in.

  Pasting New Year Prints贴年画

The custom of pasting New Year Prints originatedfromthe tradition of placing Door Gods on the external doors of houses. With the creation of board carvings, New Year paintings cover a wide range of subjects. The most famous ones are Door Gods, Surplus Year after Year, Three Gods of Blessing, Salary and Longevity, An Abundant Harvest of Crops, Thriving Domestic Animals and Celebrating Spring. Four producing areas of New Year Print are Tɑohuɑwu of Suzhou, Yɑngliuqing of Tianjin, Wuqiɑng of Hebei and Weifang of Shangdong. Now the tradition of pasting New Year paintings is still kept in rural China, while it is seldom followed in cities.

  Having Jiaozi吃饺子

On New Year’s Eve, the whole family will sit together to make jiaozi and celebrate the Spring Festival. The shape of jiaozi is like gold ingotfromancient China. So people eat them and wish for money and treasure. The tradition of having jiaozi is very important during the Spring Festival. You cannot have a complete Spring Festival without having jiaozi. (See page 82 for more information about "jiaozi”)

  The CCTV New Year‘s Gala看春节联欢晚会

The New Year’s Gala is a variety show held by China Central Television (CCTV) since 1983. For every year since then at the turn of the Lunar New Year, the program begins at 8:00PM and lasts five or six hours. It brings laughter to billions of people, creates many popular words and produces lots of TV phenomena meriting attention. For over twenty years, its value has gone far beyond a variety show. It is essential entertainment for the Chinese both at home and abroad. Many Chinese would like to watch the gala while having the dinner on New Year’s Eve.
