少儿英语小故事 篇一

The Magical Adventure

Once upon a time, in a small village, there lived a curious little boy named Tim. Tim was always eager to explore and learn new things. One sunny day, while playing in his backyard, Tim stumbled upon an old dusty book. As he opened it, a bright light engulfed him, and before he knew it, he found himself in a magical land.

In this enchanted land, animals could talk and trees could dance. Tim was amazed by all the magical creatures he encountered. He met a wise owl named Oliver, who became his guide through this new world. Oliver told him that he was chosen to complete a special mission to bring back the lost magic to their land.

Tim was excited and ready for the adventure. Oliver led him to the first challenge - a maze guarded by a mischievous gnome. The gnome loved riddles and would only allow Tim to pass if he could solve his puzzle. Tim used his quick thinking and solved the riddle, earning the gnome's respect. The gnome opened the path to the next challenge.

The second challenge was a deep dark cave, filled with dangerous creatures. Tim had to find a magical gem hidden deep within the cave, which would restore the magic in the land. With Oliver's help, Tim maneuvered through the cave, avoiding the creatures and finally found the precious gem.

As they made their way back to the village, they were faced with their final challenge - a wicked witch. The witch was determined to keep the magic for herself and tried to stop Tim from completing his mission. Tim, with the gem in his hand, bravely confronted the witch. He used his kindness and empathy to convince her that sharing the magic would bring joy to everyone. The witch, touched by his words, decided to change her ways and join Tim in returning the magic to the land.

With the gem placed in the heart of the village, the land was filled with vibrant colors and joy once again. Tim had completed his mission and was celebrated as a hero by all the magical creatures. As a reward, the land gifted Tim with a magic necklace that would transport him back home whenever he wished.

Tim bid farewell to his new friends and returned to his village, where he shared his magical adventure with his family and friends. From that day forward, Tim cherished the memories of his journey and the lessons he learned about bravery, kindness, and the power of imagination.

少儿英语小故事 篇二

The Lost Teddy Bear

Once upon a time, in a bustling city, there lived a little girl named Lily. Lily had a favorite teddy bear named Teddy, whom she took everywhere with her. Teddy was her best friend and brought her comfort and happiness.

One day, Lily and her family went on a trip to the zoo. Lily was so excited that she forgot to bring Teddy along. When she realized Teddy was missing, she became very upset. Lily's parents comforted her and promised to buy her a new teddy bear, but Lily knew it wouldn't be the same.

Meanwhile, in the zoo, Teddy had fallen out of Lily's bag and was left behind. He felt scared and lonely. Luckily, a kind zookeeper named Max found Teddy and took him to the zoo's lost and found area.

A few days later, Lily's family decided to visit the zoo again. As they walked through the entrance, Lily noticed a sign that said, "Lost and Found." Her eyes lit up with hope. She rushed over to the lost and found area and asked the zookeeper if they had found Teddy.

To Lily's delight, Max handed her Teddy. She hugged him tightly and promised never to leave him behind again. Max was happy to see Lily reunited with her beloved teddy bear and told her the story of how he found Teddy in the zoo.

Lily thanked Max for taking care of Teddy and asked if she could give him a tour of the zoo as a way to show her gratitude. Max gladly accepted and together they explored the zoo, learning about different animals and their habitats.

As they walked through the zoo, Lily realized how important it was to take care of her belongings and not to forget about them. She also learned the value of kindness and how it can make a difference in someone's life.

From that day forward, Lily always made sure to keep Teddy close to her and took good care of him. She also became friends with Max and visited the zoo often to learn more about animals and help out with the lost and found area.

The lost teddy bear incident taught Lily a valuable lesson about responsibility and the importance of treasuring the things we love. And Teddy, well, he was happy to be back in Lily's arms, knowing that he would never be left behind again.

少儿英语小故事 篇三

  A HAPPY MAN

One day in spring, Wang Liangbin called his servant to him.

  春天里的一天,王亮宾把他的仆人叫到跟前。

"How many pounds of snails did you buy?"

  "你买了多少磅蜗牛?"

少儿英语小故事 篇四

About 100,000 people die each year in US hospitals from infections that they get while they are in the hospital. Less than half that many die on US highways. The hospital deaths are due to poor housekeeping and poor hygiene. Floors, walls, and doors are not cleaned regularly or thoroughly. Room piders are almost never cleaned. The carts that carry

food trays, and the trays themselves, are usually contaminated from handling and coughing. Cooks and other food handlers can easily infect the food by not washing properly after using the bathroom.

Doctors and nurses are just as guilty as other staff. Doctors rarely clean their stethoscopes after each patient. Nurses apply blood pressure cuffs to patient after patient without cleaning the cuffs. Doctors often put on gloves without washing their hands first. As a result, the germs on their hands are transferred to the outside of the gloves.

Consumer groups warn patients that they must demand cleanliness. If they see or suspect unsanitary conditions, they must tell someone immediately. It could be a matter of life or death. But, as one patient said, "No way! You don't tell your boss that he has bad breath, and you don't tell your doctor that he needs to wash his hands."

少儿英语小故事 篇五

The yardman comes every two weeks. He drives a gray pickup truck. The truck is a Ford. It is about 15 years old, but it runs well. It doesn’t burn oil, and it gets decent gas mileage. The yardman’s name is Byron.

In the back of his truck are a lawn mower, a leaf blower, a rake, and a shovel. Byron uses the leaf blower to blow leaves and dirt from the back of the building out to the front of the building. Then he rakes up the leaves into a bag. He blows the dirt out into the street. He cuts the lawn with his lawn mower. He trims the hedge. He uses the leaf blower to blow the dirt off each Welcome mat that lies in front of each apartment door.

Then he puts all the leaves, the grass trimmings, and the hedge clippings into a wheelbarrow. He pushes the wheelbarrow to the back of the building, where he uses his big shovel to empty the wheelbarrow contents into the big dumpster. It takes Byron about two hours to do this work.

When he is done, he goes half a block up the street to the house on the corner. There he does the same work again.
