新年英语演讲稿范文 篇一

Good morning/afternoon/evening, ladies and gentlemen,

As we bid farewell to the old year and welcome the new, it is with great joy and excitement that I stand before you today to deliver this speech. The start of a new year is a time of reflection, celebration, and most importantly, a time for new beginnings.

First and foremost, I would like to express my gratitude to all of you for being here today. It is your presence that makes this occasion even more special. I would also like to extend my warmest wishes for a happy and prosperous new year to each and every one of you.

The beginning of a new year is often accompanied by a sense of renewal and a fresh perspective. It is a time when we can leave behind the mistakes and regrets of the past and focus on the opportunities and possibilities that lie ahead. It is a chance to set new goals, make new plans, and strive for personal growth and improvement.

For many of us, the new year represents a clean slate—a chance to start afresh and make positive changes in our lives. Whether it be adopting healthier habits, pursuing new passions, or strengthening relationships, the new year offers us the motivation and determination to make the changes we desire.

However, it is important to remember that change does not happen overnight. It requires effort, perseverance, and a willingness to step outside of our comfort zones. It is easy to get caught up in the excitement of the new year and set unrealistic expectations for ourselves. But true change requires patience and consistency.

In addition to personal growth, the new year also presents us with an opportunity to make a positive impact on the world around us. It is a chance to be more mindful of our actions and their consequences, to be kinder and more compassionate towards others, and to contribute to causes that are important to us.

As we embark on this new year, let us remember that the journey is just as important as the destination. It is the small steps we take each day that lead us towards our goals and aspirations. Let us embrace the challenges and setbacks that come our way, for they are opportunities for growth and learning. And most importantly, let us cherish the moments of joy and happiness that the new year brings.

In conclusion, as we welcome the new year, let us do so with a sense of optimism, determination, and gratitude. Let us embrace the opportunities for personal growth and positive change that lie ahead. And let us remember that with each new year comes a chance for us to make a difference in our own lives and in the world around us.

Thank you for your attention, and I wish you all a happy and prosperous new year!

新年英语演讲稿范文 篇二

Ladies and gentlemen,

A very warm welcome to all of you on this auspicious occasion as we gather here to celebrate the beginning of a new year. It is with great pleasure and gratitude that I address you today.

The start of a new year is a time of reflection and introspection. It is a time when we look back on the past year, evaluate our achievements and failures, and set new goals for the future. It is a time when we can let go of the past and embrace the opportunities and possibilities that the new year brings.

Each new year is like a blank canvas, waiting to be filled with our dreams, aspirations, and actions. It is up to us to paint a picture that we can be proud of. It is up to us to make the most of the time and resources that we have been given. It is up to us to create a future that is filled with happiness, success, and fulfillment.

However, it is important to remember that success is not solely measured by external achievements or material possessions. True success lies in living a purposeful and meaningful life, in making a positive difference in the lives of others, and in finding joy and fulfillment in the journey itself.

As we embark on this new year, let us remember to be kind and compassionate towards others. Let us be mindful of the impact that our words and actions have on those around us. Let us strive to build bridges instead of walls, to bring people together instead of tearing them apart.

Let us also remember to take care of ourselves, both physically and mentally. Let us prioritize self-care and make time for activities that bring us joy and rejuvenation. Let us seek support and guidance when we need it, and let us be there for others who may be in need.

And finally, let us remember to be grateful for all that we have. Let us appreciate the simple pleasures of life—the warmth of the sun on our faces, the laughter of loved ones, the beauty of nature. Let us cultivate an attitude of gratitude and count our blessings each and every day.

In conclusion, as we welcome the new year, let us do so with a sense of hope, gratitude, and determination. Let us seize the opportunities that come our way and make the most of them. Let us strive to be the best version of ourselves and make a positive impact on the world around us.

Thank you for your attention, and I wish you all a happy and prosperous new year!

Chinese New Year is the most important festivity for the Chinese people. It is also called the Spring Festival or the Lunar New Year.

Every year has an animal’s name. These animals are the rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, ram, monkey, rooster, dog and pig. A Chinese legend says that these twelve animals had a race. The first year was named after the rat, the winner. The other eleven years were named after the order in which the animals arrived in the race. The Spring Festival is the most important festival for the Chinese people and is when all family members get together, just like Christmas in the West.

Waking up on New Year, everybody dresses up. First they extend greetings to their parents. Then each child will get money as a New Year gift, wrapped up in red paper. People in northern China will eat jiaozi, or dumplings, for breakfast, as they think "jiaozi" in sound means "bidding farewell to the old and ushering in the new".

That Chinese people pay more attention to be polite, while it is different from other countries .And chinese culture is brilliant and they know how to use a brush to write

Dear Judges and Friends,

The topic for my speech today is “Festival.” I would like to talk about my favorite festival, the Mid-Autumn Festival.

In China we have several important festivals, such as the Spring Festival, the Lantern Festival, the Dragon-boat Festival and the Mid-Autumn Festival. Among them, I like Mid-Autumn festival best, especially because I live in Xiamen.

In Xiamen, when we celebrate the Mid-Autumn festival, we do not only follow the common practices such as having a big dinner party with our family, eating mooncakes, and appreciating the full moon at night, we also have one unique custom which is only practiced in Xiamen, that is “Bo Bing”.

“Bo Bing” is a very interesting game that almost all Xiamen people play during this festival. Usually family members or close friends get together around a table with a big round bowl in the middle and six dices in the bowl. We take turns to throw the dices into the bowl. We will get different prizes accroding to the different ways the dices show their upper sides. Everyone is likely to become the champion or “Zhuangyuan” for the year. There is an element of luck and equal opportunity in this game. So people usually get excited while playing. Also, the game gives very pleasant sounds. The tinkling made by the dices falling into the bowl is pleasant, people’s laughing, cheering and applauding for the big prizes they’ve won is pleasant. All this adds greatly to the joyful atmosphere of this festival. As a kid, of course I also like the material prizes I get from the game, such as a candy or a cake.

In this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival, my family invited our foreign friends to come to our home to celebrate the Festival together. They have two children who are younger than me. While our parents were making Jiaozi together, we kids played “Bo Bing”. We bought quite some gifts to share with our guests as their prizes. They enjoyed the game and our get-together very much.

The literal translation of “Bo Bing” is “mooncake gambling.” But actually it is not gambling, at least our family never plays it that way. For us, it is more an occasion of happy sharing and getting-together. This is why Xiamen’s Mid-Autumn Festival has become my favorite festival in the year.

Thank you very much!
